The cable was covered with snow and unidentified. This incident caused damage to the aircraft service outlet, the generator cable and the terminal service outlet, and a significant delay in flight.

A Jazz de Havilland DHC-8-311 (C-FACF/JZA8724) on a flight from Gaspé/Michel-Pouliot, QC (CYGP) to les Iles-de-la-Madeleine, QC (CYGR) on approach at CYGR executed a missed approach and reported an issue with the hydraulic system. The aircraft declared an emergency and diverted to Greater Moncton/Romeo Leblanc Intl, NB (CYQM). Aircraft rescue and fire fighting (ARFF) was requested on arrival. The aircraft landed safely at 0729Z. No impact to operations. (Duplicate CADORS/AORs deleted: 2019Q4133/260445-V2 and 2019Q4079/260103-V1)
UPDATE TSB Report #A19A0097: C-FACF, a De Havilland DHC-8-311 operated by Jazz was conducting flight JZA724 from Gaspé Airport, QC (CYGP) to Îles-de-la-Madeleine, QC (CYGR). During the approach to CYGR a failure of the #2 hydraulic occurred. The flight crew declared an emergency at 02:38 AST and after consideration of the crosswind conditions at CYGR they elected to divert to Moncton Intl Airport, NB (CYQM). The aircraft landed without further incident at 03:29 AST with aircraft rescue and firefighting on standby. Maintenance determined that the nose gear down lock pressure line was leaking and the fluid level had depleted. The aircraft was repaired and then returned to service.

There was a loss of separation between a Private Air Inc. Pilatus PC-12/47 (C-GMLF) from Sept-Îles, QC (CYZV) to La Romaine, QC (CTT5) departing from Runway 09 and a Government of Quebec de Havilland DHC-8-315 on a MEDEVAC flight (C-GURM/QUE40) from Îles-de-la-Madeleine, QC (CYGR) to Sept-Îles, QC (CYZV) arriving on Runway 27. The required separation is 5 NM or 1000 ft. The minimum separation reached was 3.6 NM and 800 ft.
Update TSB Report #A19Q0182: C-GMLF, a Private Air Inc. Pilatus, was on an IFR flight from Sept-Îles, QC (CYZV) to La Romaine, QC (CTT5). C-GURM, a Service aérien gouvernemental Dash 8-300 (QUE40), was on an IFR medical evacuation flight from Îles-de-la-Madeleine, QC (CYGR) to Sept-Îles, QC (CYZV). C-GMLF took off from Runway 09 and was on initial climb when QUE40 was cleared to conduct its approach for Runway 27. QUE40s approach clearance was transmitted before C-GMLF had cleared the approach for Runway 27. The minimum required separation of 5 NM (horizontally) or 1 000 ft vertically could not be maintained. C-GMLF was given instructions by the air traffic controller (ATC) so that the separation, which had been reduced to 3.6 NM horizontally and 800 ft vertically, could be re-established. There were no injuries.

During initial contact with the Quebec terminal (YQB), a Pascan British Aerospace Jetstream Model 3212 (C-GPSK/PSC581) from Quebec/Jean Lesage, QC (CYQB) to Îles-de-la-Madeleine, QC (CYGR) said that the tower had cleared it for CYQB direct CYGR. After verification, the flight plan was found to be CYQB FLEUR CYGR, and the tower gave it clearance for this route indicated in the flight plan. No impact on operations.

A Jazz de Havilland DHC-8-301 (C-GTAQ/JZA8726) from Montreal/Pierre Elliott Trudeau Intl, QC (CYUL) to Quebec/Jean Lesage Intl, QC (CYQB) and a Pascan British Aerospace Jetstream Model 3212 (C-FPSI/PSC581) from Quebec/Jean Lesage Intl, QC (CYQB) to Îles-de-la-Madeleine, QC (CYGR) came within 2.7 NM and 100 ft of each other in Quebec terminal airspace. No impact on operations.
UPDATE from TSB report #A19Q0211: C-FPSI, a Jetstream 32 operated by Pascan under the flight number PSC581, was flying under instrument flight rules from the Quebec/Jean Lesage, QC (CYQB) airport to its destination of Îles-de-la-Madeleine, QC (CYGR). C-GTAQ, a Dash-8-300 operated by Jazz Aviation LP under the flight number JZA726, was flying under instrument flight rules from the Montreal/Pierre Elliott Trudeau International, QC (CYUL) airport to Quebec/Jean Lesage, QC (CYQB). During the initial climb, PSC581 advised the controller that it should return to land at CYQB. The controller therefore supplied PSC581 with radar vectors to follow in order to guide it and position it behind JZA726 on approach for CYQB. Despite the fact that PSC581 followed the assigned vectors, these did not allow the required spacing of 3 nautical miles to be maintained laterally and 1000 feet vertically with JZA726. At a minimum, the lateral and vertical distances are down to 2.7 nautical miles and 100 feet.

The pilot of a Pascan British Aerospace Jetstream Model 3212 (C-FPSI/PSC581) from Quebec/Jean Lesage, QC (CYQB) to Îles-De-La-Madeleine, QC (CYGR) reported a blown tire after its landing on Runway 07 at 0028Z. The aircraft came to a stop approximately 200 ft from Taxiway Alpha. The aircraft left the runway on its own on Taxiway Alpha at 0104Z. With the help of vehicles (ST42 + 1), all passengers were transported to the terminal before the aircraft was moved.

Situation was resolved and landed on second approach. No emergency declared but Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) was requested. Aircraft had to be towed off runway. No impact on operations.
Update TSB #A19A0058: C-GTAT, a De Havilland DHC-8-300 aircraft operated by Jazz Aviation LP, was conducting flightJZA8734 from Montreal/Pierre Elliott Trudeau Intl (CYUL), QC to Iles-de-la-Madeleine (CYGR), QC. When the crew extended the gear for landing, they initially received the 3 green indication, but then the nose gear started to retract and cycle. The crew executed a missed approach and performed an alternate gear extension. The crew did not declare an emergency but requested ARFF to be on standby. The aircraft landed uneventfully and was towed off the runway. Maintenance is investigating.

Despite an accurate readback, JZA8734 veered right toward the takeoff line for Runway 24L, when an Air Transat Boeing 737-800 (TSC878) from Montreal/Pierre Elliott Trudeau, QC (CYUL) to Samaná El Catey, Dominican Republic (MDCY) was taxiing. Air Traffic Control (ATC) took immediate action. No impact.

The Îles-de-la-Madeleine, QC (CYGR) station was opened at 0410Z at the request of Service aérien du Québec. At 0538Z, a Government of Quebec Canadair CL600-2B16 (series 601-3A) (C-GQBQ/QUE20) from Quebec/Jean Lesage, QC (CYQB) to Îles-de-la-Madeleine, QC (CYGR) arrived, and at 0655Z, it departed.
