CAV7988 had obtained traffic information concerning a Win Win Aviation Inc. de Havilland DHC-6-200 (N301CL) from St-Esprit, QC (CES2) to St-Esprit, QC (CES2), which was operating on a VFR flight in the area. No impact.

Traffic was a privately registered Cessna 172M from Kamloops, BC (CYKA) to Kamloops, BC (CYKA) on the extended left downwind for Runway 09. Traffic had been passed to both aircraft. The Cessna 172M had reported PCO1205 in sight. PCO1205 stopped descent when 5NM final, climbed 200 feet in response to the RA and then continued the approach and landed at 2226Z.

The pilot of an Airsprint Inc. Cessna 525A (C-FASW/ASP503) from Penticton, BC (CYYF) to Edmonton, AB (CYEG) phoned the unit after their flight to advise they had received a traffic alert and collision avoidance system (TCAS) resolution advisory (RA) during takeoff from Runway 34. The RA was due to a helicopter that had been operating on the east side grass at the airport. No operational impact.

Incident at 16NM ABBOTSFORD BC (CYXX)

While on a visual approach to Runway 25, a Kal Aviation Group Inc. Cessna 560 (C-FTOM) from Vernon, BC (CYVK) to Abbotsford, BC (CYXX) received and actioned a traffic alert and collision avoidance system (TCAS) resolution advisory (RA) referencing a privately registered Game Composites GB1 Gamebird from Vancouver/Boundary Bay, BC (CZBB) to Vancouver/Boundary Bay, BC (CZBB) that was operating within CYA187. Traffic had been passed and updated on multiple occasions. Once clear of traffic, C-FTOM resumed its visual approach without any other issues.

Incident at Scottsdale, AZ (KSDL)

TSB Report #A21F0032: C-GBKB, a Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 605 aircraft operated by Aurora Jet Partners (i.e. Morningstar Partners Ltd.), was conducting a flight from Edmonton, AB (CYEG) to Scottsdale, AZ (KSDL) with 4 passengers and 2 crew members on board. At 9000 feet, in the descent into KSDL, the flight crew received a traffic alert and collision avoidance system (TCAS) resolution advisory (RA). The flight crew complied with the advisory and notified ATC. Due to the TCAS RA and close proximity to the airport, the aircraft was too high to safely conduct the approach. The crew coordinated with the tower to conduct an orbit at the threshold of Runway 21 in order to lose the necessary altitude. The aircraft landed safely, without further incident.

TSB Report #A21F0028: C-FITW, a Boeing 777-300, was conducting Air Canada flight ACA7211 from Frankfurt, Germany (EDDF) to Toronto/Lester B. Pearson, ON (CYYZ). After departure, just before levelling off at FL100, ATC advised of traffic at FL110. The flight crew had the traffic in sight and received a TCAS RA. No evasive action was taken, as the flight was just levelling off at FL110. ATC advised that there was no conflict and the flight continued to its destination without further incident.

On approach to Montreal/Pierre Elliott Trudeau Intl, QC (CYUL) and at 3 000 feet, an Air Inuit Beech B350 (AIE560) from Montreal/Pierre Elliott Trudeau Intl, QC (CYUL) to Montreal/Pierre Elliott Trudeau Intl, QC (CYUL) had a traffic alert and collision avoidance system (TCAS) resolution advisory (RA) generated by a Montreal Flying Club Cessna 172S (C-GRDB) from Montreal/St-Hubert, QC (CYHU) to Montreal/St-Hubert, QC (CYHU) that was co-located at 2500 feet. In reaction to the TCAS RA, AIE560 climbed 400 feet. Traffic had been passed and AIE560 had C-GRDB in sight. No impact.

Traffic was exchanged, both aircraft had each other in sight. No impact to operations.
