Two minutes later, the pilot was seen at an altitude of 3,600 ft while cleared for 4,000 ft. The aircraft was cleared for 3,000 ft. No impact.

An Adventure Air Cessna 208B (C-GATH) from Red Lake, ON (CYRL) to Pickle Lake, ON (CYPL) was on final for Runway 09 at the time and a North Star Air Ltd. Douglas DC3C (C-FKGL/BF102T) from Pickle Lake, ON (CYPL) to Pickle Lake, ON (CYPL) was on the area navigation (RNAV) approach for Runway 27. WSG815 departed before BF102Ts arrival, resulting in C-GABJs departure to be delayed by 10 minutes. No other operational impact.

Incident at POPLAR HILL ON (CPV7) (Aerodrome, runway or taxiway shutdown)

The nose gear of a North Star Air Ltd. ATR-GIE 72-212A (C-FNSN/BF502) from Red Lake, ON (CYRL) to Poplar Hill, ON (CPV7) went off the side of the runway at CPV7. No additional information available, as the Airport Manager (APM) was the one who called it in to close the runway. The Winnipeg (ZWG) shift manager was advised.
UPDATE from TC inspectorate: A Civil Aviation Safety Inspector (CASI) looked into this occurrence. The CASI advised that the aircrafts nose gear did not go off the side of the runway. Rather, one of the main gear sunk into a soft spot on the runway while the aircraft was turning.
