Incident at FREDERICTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

HUNT C-GZIB in the Fredericton Area, advised minimum fuel at 20:09Z. TSB Update: C-GZIB advised minimum fuel at 20:09Z over Fredericton, and landed 3 minutes later. No traffic affected. TSB Case Closed
TSB Update - A03A0126: The Hawker Hunter MK 58A aircraft, C-GZIB, was flying out of the Fredericton Airport on contract to the military on training exercises in the CFB Gagetown live firing area (CYR 724). After completing an exercise and returning to land in Fredericton, the pilot advised the Fredericton FSS that he was at minimum fuel. The aircraft landed 3 minutes later without incident. No other traffic was affected.

Incident at FREDERICTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (Other operational incident, Fuel - starvation, Communication error, Alleged Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) infraction)

At 1400Z GJMQ a Hawker Hunter F MK 58 initially reported exiting CYR724 and entering the Fredericton Control Zone at 3 miles. The aircraft did not provide the Fredericton FSS with 5-minute notice prior to entering the Zone. At the same time the aircraft declared minimum fuel on the initial contact. This has occurred on the four previous flights conducted out of and into the Fredericton Airport. Another Hawker Hunter GZIB was also inbound, and although the two aircraft were not in formation, GJMQ declared minimum fuel for GZIB. The pilot of GJMQ was questioned about the procedure and informed the FSS that this would be normal operating procedure for every flight.

Incident at FREDERICTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (Other operational incident, Fuel - starvation, Alleged Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) infraction)

Two Hawker Hunter F MK 58s GJMQ and GZIB have been operating from the Fredericton airport into the Camp Gagetown CYR724 area on a contract Basis. The two aircraft have been declaring a minimum fuel situation during their return to the Fredericton airport. This has occurred on Sept 8th at 1348Z, Sept 15th at 1713Z and at 1931Z, and Sept 16th at 1829Z.
