Incident at THOMPSON MB (CYTH)

Winnipeg (WG) advised of a Perimeter Aviation flight (PAG07) that was returning to Thompson, MB (CYTH) due to an indication of a nose landing gear issue. PAG07 requested emergency services after the gear did not appear to be down. The gear appeared to be down on the aircrafts third "low and over", and the aircraft elected to land at 0646Z while emergency vehicles stood by. PAG07 landed and taxied back to Apron 02 safely.

Incident at SHAMATTAWA MB (CZTM) (Aerodrome, runway or taxiway shutdown)

A de Havilland DHC-8-300 aircraft became stuck on Runway 01/19 at Shamattawa, MB (CZTM). NOTAM issued.

An American, corporately registered Bell 505 (N8746Z) from Montreal/Pierre Elliott Trudeau, QC (CYUL) to Montreal (Bell) (Heli), QC (CSW5) advised that it was returning to land at CYUL due to a power problem. No emergency declared or assistance requested. The aircraft landed safely at 1909Z. No impact on operations.

Incident at 5307N / 06710W

A Turkish Airlines Boeing 787-9 (THY18A) from Toronto/Lester B. Pearson, ON (CYYZ) to Istanbul, Turkey (LTFM) declared a medical emergency and diverted to Goose Bay, NL (CYYR). THY18A landed safely at 0454Z. No impact on operations.

Incident at THE PAS MB (CYQD) (ATM - inaccurate aeronautical information)

The Pas, MB (YQD) remote communications outlet (RCO) was unserviceable (U/S) due to a telecommunications/power issue. The Technology Operations Coordinator (TOC) was advised and a NOTAM was issued. The RCO was confirmed serviceable at 1424Z on April 12, 2021. NOTAM cancelled. Operational impact unknown.

Incident at REGINA INTL SK (CYQR) (Aerodrome, runway or taxiway shutdown)

At 1545Z, a privately registered Piper PA-24-260 from Regina, SK (CYQR) to Regina, SK (CYQR) was disabled on Taxiway A, past the hold line of Runway 31, with a Chartright Air Inc. Bombardier BD-100-1A10 (C-FGGF/HRT381) from Vancouver, BC (CYVR) to Regina, SK (CYQR) 4NM final for Runway 31. HRT381 was advised of the disabled Piper PA-24-260 and was informed that a landing clearance could not be issued. HRT381 landed on Runway 31, at the pilots discretion, without incident. The Piper PA-24-260 aircraft was removed at 1612Z.

Incident at FORT ST. JOHN BC (CYXJ)

A privately registered Cessna 150H from Fort St. John, BC (CYXJ) to Fort St. John, BC (CYXJ), on a local training flight to the southwest (SW) of CYXJ, began to have communication failures. The aircraft squawked code 7600 at approximately 1848Z and appeared to be inbound to the airport. The flight service station (FSS) attempted to provide two advisories. There was no other traffic in the area, and the aircraft proceeded inbound for the left downwind for Runway 21, and landed safely at 1856Z.

Incident at PORT HARDY BC (CYZT)

A Wilderness Seaplanes Grumman G-21A (C-FIOL) from Port Hardy, BC (CYZT) to Port Hardy, BC (CYZT) reported rolling on Runway 29, then aborted its take-off due to wind gusts. The aircraft taxied off of all the runways. The wind was "230 at 09G18". No operational impact.

A Cargojet Airways Ltd. Boeing 757-200 (CJT626) from Hamilton, ON (CYHM) to Montreal/Mirabel, QC (CYMX) suspected a bird strike just after touchdown by B6. A bird carcass was found by a vehicle (RED16).

A Les Transports A.T.D. (2006) Inc. Bell OH-58A (C-GMMW), on code 1200, entered the St-Jean, QC (CYJN) zone from the northeast (NE) and landed near Sainte-Thérèse Island. No impact.

After having received and correctly re-read the clearance to descend to 5000 feet, an American, corporately registered Learjet 60 (N841SC) from Fort Lauderdale, FL (KFXE) to Montreal/St-Hubert, QC (CYHU) was observed descending to 4700 feet. No impact on operations.

Incident at KINGSTON ON (CYGK)

A Spectrum Airways Piper PA-28-161 (C-GGGH) from Burlington, ON (CZBA) to Toronto/Oshawa, ON (CYOO) received an advisory and indicated its intention to depart from Runway 07. At 1638Z, C-GGGH said it was rolling on Runway 07, however, the aircraft departed from Runway 01. Traffic in the area, a Canadian Aviation Maintenance Cessna 150M (C-GOEE) from Kingston, ON (CYGK) to Kingston, ON (CYGK), was updated. No other impact to operations.

Incident at LANGLEY REGIONAL BC (CYNJ)

A privately registered Mooney M20K from Langley, BC (CYNJ) to Langley, BC (CYNJ) reported a faint emergency locator transmitter (ELT) signal on the ground as it taxied in and shut down. The ELT signal could only be heard by the tower on the hand-held radio (NICAN) with the squelch on. The incident was reported to the shift manager.

A Government Of Canada, Department Of National Defence Boeing CC-177 Globemaster III (CFC3677) from Kelowna, BC (CYLW) to Trenton, ON (CYTR) was required to be towed out and conduct its run up inside the obstacle limitation surface (OLS). This prevented both IFR and VFR arrivals and departures during the operation. Aircraft affected included: a pacific Coastal Airlines Ltd. Beech 1900C (C-GPCY/PCO1544) from Cranbrook/Canadian Rockies, BC (CYXC) to Kelowna, BC (CYLW); a Carson Air Beech B300 (C-GRUU/CRN911) from Kelowna, BC (CYLW) to Trail, BC (CAD4); a North Cariboo Flying Service Piper PA-31 (C-FSUN/NCB2010) from Fort St. John, BC (CYXJ) to Kelowna, BC (CYLW); a privately registered, amateur-built Vans RV-7A from Kelowna, BC (CYLW) to Kelowna, BC (CYLW); and a privately registered Piper PA-34-200T from Kelowna, BC (CYLW) to Abbotsford, BC (CYXX).
