Incident
at Kelowna

A Government Of Canada, Department Of National Defence Boeing CC-177 Globemaster III (CFC3677) from Kelowna, BC (CYLW) to Trenton, ON (CYTR) was required to be towed out and conduct its run up inside the obstacle limitation surface (OLS). This prevented both IFR and VFR arrivals and departures during the operation. Aircraft affected included: a pacific Coastal Airlines Ltd. Beech 1900C (C-GPCY/PCO1544) from Cranbrook/Canadian Rockies, BC (CYXC) to Kelowna, BC (CYLW); a Carson Air Beech B300 (C-GRUU/CRN911) from Kelowna, BC (CYLW) to Trail, BC (CAD4); a North Cariboo Flying Service Piper PA-31 (C-FSUN/NCB2010) from Fort St. John, BC (CYXJ) to Kelowna, BC (CYLW); a privately registered, amateur-built Vans RV-7A from Kelowna, BC (CYLW) to Kelowna, BC (CYLW); and a privately registered Piper PA-34-200T from Kelowna, BC (CYLW) to Abbotsford, BC (CYXX). No operational impact.
